What are some Things you couldn’t have a Wedding without?
Everyone has heard of Something Borrowed, Something New, & Something Blue. Also put a sixpence in your shoe for luck in the marriage.
This short little list has none of that.
First I’d recommend the Venue. The place you want the Ceremony/ Reception, the Event.
Some Venues will have Caterers, Photographers, Entertainment, and even Event Coordinators they work with and offer discounts. It’s also important to find the venue quickly if you are set in stone on your date you want. Most places have to be booked 6 months to a year ahead of time.
Next would be Entertainment. If the venue does not provide a DJ or give information on one they recommend.
Simple things like Microphones and speaker set ups are easy to do on your own if you have the equipment or can get it. Put together your own playlist, i recommend getting the add free version of whatever you’re using. You don’t want random “car warranty” commercials during your event.
I would also suggest if there is a chance of a break in the event. Like if you have a dinner and some guests finish before others those guests will need something to do. Maybe a huge Jenga set, large Chess set, or a Photo Booth. There are also little cards with questions. EX: How well do you know the Bride & Groom, Baby Shower Prediction cards, and always Advice cards.
